i dont think there is such a thing as drinking too much water. i think all the water going to the bladder would be annoying though(having to *** every 2o mins :. they say if you drink it too fast and you just *** it out…doesnt do much as a benefit for you. i wish i could drink that much!!

8-12 per day isn’t too much. you need to drink much more than that to suffer from water poisoning.

There is a such thing as too much water (to reply to one of the answers). It dilutes your electrolytes and then your body can’t function anymore. You should drink half your body weight in ounces. So, for example, if you’re 120 lbs you should drink 60 oz. a day which is about half a gallon. If you’re more active or sweat alot, you should drink more. You should sip it until your urine is pale yellow or clear. Are you drinking from 8 oz cups or larger? A cup is 8 oz. but even if you drink 8-12 large cups, that’s fine. I try to drink a gallon a day. You also get water from foods you eat, especially if you eat a lot fruits and veggies. If you find that you’re getting dizzy, lightheaded and headachy after drinking water, then it would be too much, or you need to spread it out over the day. If that happens, eat something salty. That happens to me if I have a hard workout, so if I know I’m doing a hard workout, I’ll make an electrolyte drink.
So, how much is too much depends on the person. Too much for one person can be enough for another. If you feel good, don’t feel thirsty, then I think you’re fine.
